SMP is the fastest-growing sector of hair loss remedies worldwide, and the market here in Australia is largely untapped. Aaron entered the industry in 2009 and introduced SMP to Australia with the launch of Hairline Solutions on the Gold Coast in March 2011 and has personally completed more than 3000 SMP treatment sessions and trained dozens of successful practitioners nationally. Our team of teachers have over 18 years of combined experience performing SMP treatments right here in Australia and will guide you through all aspects of SMP to ensure you gain the skills required to create a successful business of your own. The Academy has now provided tuition for more than 100 students, several of whom have gained international recognition due to their skill and dedication. Furthermore, this was achieved by receiving a solid grounding in SMP and graduating from the Hairline Solutions SMP Training Academy.

THE 5 DAY SMP FUNDAMENTALS COURSE

Scalp Micropigmentation Training Course

The Hairline Solutions SMP Training Academy Fundamentals Course is the most extensive and comprehensive in Australia, backed up by an unrivalled continual development program where we are at hand to answer any questions and provide guidance as required. You will receive an extensive learning material package, including a Q & A section for your reference when dealing with enquiries following the completion of the course.

During your tuition, you will witness treatments performed by world-class SMP practitioners trained at the Academy, as observation is vital to learning the Hairline Solutions SMP techniques. You also have the opportunity to perform your initial treatments at the Hairline Solutions clinic under the watchful eye of your team of teachers, ensuring your confidence and skills develop to their true potential.

Some students enrol to learn a new skill and complete a handful of treatments to supplement their primary source of income, whereas others earn more than $200,000.00 annually. The flexibility allows you to work to your requirements.

Aaron holds Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. National Course Code TAE40116 and our team provide an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.

5 DAY COURSE OVERVIEW:

DAY 1:

INTRODUCTION TO SMP.

Receiving your equipment with an in-depth discussion on why we use these chosen products.
Ink science.
Skin science.
Health and Safety.
Preparing your clinic and equipment for performing treatments.
How to assess the client to determine the shade of SMP required.
Choosing the correct ink strength, mixing ratios and factors affecting the final result achieved.
1. Practising performing the first session (the base coat).
2. Practising performing the second session (the topcoat).
3. Practising performing the third session for additional future density (if required).

DAY 2:

THEORY AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR CLIENT'S NEEDS AND PREPARING THE TREATMENTS.

An explanation of the equipment used for cutting the hair to the correct length.
Preparing your client for treatment.
Hairline and temples design.
Zoning the scalp.
Application to the individual zones.
Graduation and blending to achieve a subtle and natural look.
Hairline and temple softening.
Cleaning and aftercare.

DAY 3:

PRACTICAL PHASE 1: PERFORMING AN SMP TREATMENT ON YOUR CLIENT.

Consultation with the client to discuss the treatment and to determine their personal requirements.
Completing the required paperwork.
Taking pre-treatment photographs.
Cutting the client's hair to the correct length.
Assessment of the client's skin type and any anomalies that may be present.
Cleaning, sanitising and moisturising the skin.
Hairline and temples design to suit the individual needs of the client.
Zoning the scalp.
Choosing the correct ink strength and needle size.
Performing a small test area and making adjustments accordingly.
Application of SMP to each of the predetermined zones in the correct order.
How to include a feature scar if required.
Adjusting ink strength and needle size to complete graduation and blending.
Cleaning and aftercare procedures.

CONTINUED THEORY & CLIENT PAPERWORK

DAY 4:

Receiving inquiries and assessing the client's hair loss and treatment requirements.
Quote & treatment plan preparation.
In-depth discussion of paperwork, i.e., Personal/Medical Questionnaire and Consent Form.
How to perform infill/density treatments for clients with thinning hair (male and female).
Scar coverage.

DAY 5:

PRACTICAL PHASE 2: ACHIEVING THE FINISHED RESULT FOR YOUR CLIENT.

Assessment of the results achieved from the first session.
Determining the ink strength, needle size and technique required before commencement.
Application of the second treatment to achieve the perfect finished product.
Hairline and temple softening.
Post-treatment care.
Taking photos of the finished SMP.
Discussing further treatments, if necessary, as included in the provided Warranty.

SMP COURSE INCLUSIONS:

5 days of personal tuition provided by our teaching team in a classroom and clinic environment.
The necessary equipment comprises Power Pack, Gun, Foot Switch, Needles, Ink, and Cables.
Electronic templates for all paperwork and client forms.
Certificate of Competency / Completion upon reaching the required standard.
Ongoing support, including initial promotion on Hairline Solutions social media platforms.

Our Scalp Micropigmentation Training Academy Starter Course is designed to give students a taste of what they can expect when performing SMP treatments and is tailored to those not wanting to commit their time and resources to the 5-day Fundamentals course.

As with the Fundamentals course, you will witness world-class SMP practitioners performing treatments, all of whom have been trained at the Academy. Observation is a vitally important aspect of learning the Hairline Solutions SMP techniques.

Upon completion, you can enrol for further tuition to enhance your skills accordingly.

Please Note

*PLEASE NOTE:

The equipment, power supply, needles and inks included as part of the course have been specifically selected, or developed by Hairline Solutions, as the most conducive available for providing quality SMP treatments.

Some States and Territories require you to hold Infection Control Certification to perform Skin Penetration Services. You will need to be enrolled on or have Infection Control Certificate HLTINF005 if you reside in Queensland, and you will need to check with your local council to determine the requirements for your area of operation.

Students are requested to provide their own models, and Hairline Solutions will endeavour to provide models where possible. We currently have models available if necessary.

One on One personal training is available and can be tailored to suit a more flexible schedule. This option will provide the same amount of observation of Hairline Solutions practitioners performing treatments, plus additional hands-on practical training for the student.
